The Liesl Kerchief is a great project for hot summer knitting. It uses only one ball of Rowan Classic Yarns Siena, under 153 yards, and is so quick to knit. With its delicate lace edging inspired by a 40's vintage doily, Liesl, which can be worn both as a or as a scarflet, has a timeless feminine beauty. The pattern has both written instructions and charted instructions for the lace edging, as well as beautiful pictures and a companion video series explaining all stitches and techniques used in tha pattern. I hope you will enjoy knitting Liesl as much as I have... Click on the Buy Now Button to purchase the pattern and download it easily. (You do not need to be a Ravelry member, nor do you need to have a Paypal account.)
For the first time, Mr SockPixie and I worked on a series of companion videos to the pattern. The videos cover all the important stitches and techniques in the pattern in order to make it as simple and enjoyable as possible for you to knit Liesl. Here is part 1 for you to see. The photo of the two girls is just beautiful! It reminds me of a Vermeer's painting.
Congrats !!! It is a lovely kerchief - so beautiful pattern and colours !!! ... ^__^
Lovely pattern, and the pictures are just beautiful!
I will be purchasing the Liesl Kerchief pattern. I will be making some for myself in many different colors! Thank you.
The videos are clear and well instructed. I understood what you were saying and showing. Part 2 - Increases, the second time I was watching it, I lost the volume on it. Do not know why. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us the visual parts of your pattern. I've learned some new knitting techniques.
Dear Caroline,
Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern. As Mio pointed out, your pictures do recall the beautifully composed and internally lit paintings of Vermeer. The videos are very helpful. (Picking up stitches have always been a fear of mine) Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful work with us!
Your pictures are fabolous. So beautiful!
